Dr. Mendake founder of Avaya Wellness has over two decades of clinical experience. She holds dual certifications as a California board-certified and licensed Acupuncturist and Chiropractor. She is a fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM). She is certified in Webster Chiropractic technique focusing on pregnancy care. Her specialties are Pain management, Fertility Acupuncture, Pregnancy care and Digestive wellness. Dr. Mendake's journey in the realm of healing began in India, where she was immersed in traditional healing practices from an early age. These early experiences shaped her diverse training, leading her to delve into Western medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Herbal medicine and Yoga. She completed her medical training at the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore, India, practicing there before relocating to the United States. In 2001, She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in the San Francisco Bay area. Her commitment to expanding her knowledge led her to pursue a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2009, where she also studied Herbology. In the past she has worked as an adjunct professor at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Currently in addition to her private practice, she works at Kaiser hospital in Redwood City offering Acupuncture. When not at work she is spending time with her daughter and husband exploring the Bay Area.
